We opened in Leek in 2011 as Hollie May Tattoos on St Edwards Street, in 2012 we moved to Fountain Street and established ourselves as Old Smithy Tattoo, then in 2018 we moved to The Smithfield Centre and in 2023 we started a new Chapter at The Attic at 8 Sheep Market as a private studio. Our studio and artists, including guest artists are fully health registered with the local authority and practice to the highest standards.

Mario has over 16 years of continuous experience in tattoo making and design. He first started in Poland where he co-owned a Tattoo Studio in Cracow with his best friend. Over the 13 years Mario has gained great expertise in the field and has been tattooing in different countries around the world such as Poland, Italy, and Germany to finally settling in the UK. According to the artist, tattoos are like charms in the ancient times, having a great power! They can represent personal triumphs, achievements, people you care about, etc. They can also remind you of the special moments in your life and of what made you the person you are today.
